Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: August 5, 2026

TradeSoftGuide is a free resource for tradespeople. We don't sell software, we don't run sponsored posts, and we don't charge for access to our reviews. The site is funded primarily through affiliate partnerships with the software vendors we cover.

How affiliate links work

When you click a link on TradeSoftGuide and end up signing up for or purchasing a product, the vendor may pay us a commission. This is the standard affiliate model used by most review sites, from Wirecutter to NerdWallet to PCMag.

The commission comes out of the vendor's marketing budget, not your pocket. You pay the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the vendor's site. In some cases, our links include exclusive discount codes that save you money.

What this means for our recommendations

We only recommend products we'd genuinely suggest to a friend running a trades business. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial coverage in any way. Specifically:

What we earn

Commission rates vary by vendor. Most of the field service software tools we cover pay 20–30% recurring for the first year of a customer's subscription, or a flat fee per qualified signup. Some pay one-time bounties, some pay lifetime recurring, some pay nothing at all (we cover some tools purely because they're useful, even with no affiliate program).

We do not disclose specific commission rates publicly, but we're transparent about which products we have affiliate relationships with. Every article that contains affiliate links includes a notice at the bottom of the page.

Our editorial process

TradeSoftGuide's editorial team is responsible for all content on the site. We sign up for tools, test them, write reviews, and update articles when the software changes. Affiliate partnerships are handled separately and do not involve the editorial team.

If you ever feel one of our reviews is inaccurate, biased, or out of date, please let us know. We take feedback seriously and update our coverage as needed.
